Normal and holo
A normal card has the same matte finish everywhere. A holo card has a shiny picture: tilt it and the artwork catches the light.
Normal, holo and reverse holo

Normal is matte all over. Holo shines on the picture. Reverse holo shines everywhere except the picture.
Reverse holo
On a reverse holo everything around the picture shines, while the picture itself stays matte. Same card, different printing.
Normal, holo and reverse holo

Normal is matte all over. Holo shines on the picture. Reverse holo shines everywhere except the picture.
Card numbers
The small number at the bottom, like 58/102, means card 58 out of a set of 102. It is the fastest way to tell two look-alike cards apart.
Card 58 out of a set of 102.
Card types
The symbol in the top corner tells you the type: Water, Fire, Psychic and so on. It matches the energy the card needs.
